An arthritic right hip and recovery from a broken ankle compounded David's weight problem and made exercise extremely difficult.
David had broken his ankle eight months previously and also suffered from an arthritic hip, which meant that he was in constant back and ankle pain and found it difficult to exercise.
Already overweight, David was looking for a low impact, pain-free way to reduce his weight and improve his overall health.
To begin with, David did just four minutes on the treadmill at a speed of 3.0kph with the water level at 1200mm, making it a comfortable and careful introduction to the programme.
Four sessions later, David was up to 30 minutes, at a speed of 5.0kph and the water level had been dropped to 1100mm, which reflected his enhanced fitness levels and significant progress.
We've seen incredible results from David's programme as he's already lost 4 stone and reports that his ankle is 90% better and his back is 80% better.
